Lakes District Museum Society
The Lakes District Museum Society was established in 1978 and operates the Lakes District Museum in Burns Lake, B.C. The museum houses artifacts, archival records and historical  material relating to the Lakes District of northwestern B.C., including Burns Lake, Palling, Francois Lake, Babine Lake, Ootsa Lake, and Tweedsmuir Provincial Park.
